The motifs of MUSUBl's single flower vases are the five elements in nature: soil, water,
the sun, air, and wind. MUSUBI, meaning the spiritu al power of generating and raising everything, was designed based on the idea of immutability. This is one of the concepts of Haiku Verse, which Basho Matsuo founded, who was a Japanese Haiku poet of the 17th century. The idea of immutability st ates that all phenomen a do not exist independently, but exist in one of two conflicting forms: life and death, with each one repeating, rising and falling. As plants and flowers repeat the cycle of life and death with various natural components, we hope that cut plants and flowers can live out their lives in MUSUBI vases for people to appreciate them.
